Altantuya Murder Trial: Azilah Traced to Murder Scene

Access planning technician Haizal Hambali told the High Court that accused Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri was traced to have travelled between Bukit Aman and Puncak Alam when and where Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu was murdered. As the murder trial entered its 81st day yesterday, 32-year-old Haizal said that Azhar had also exchanged phone calls and text messages with co-accused political analyst Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda, accused Corporal Sirul Azhar Umar, Lance Corporal Rohaniza Roslan, Azilah’s girlfriend on 19 October 2006.

Using mobile transmission stations in Jalan Parlimen, Bangsar Outdoor, Taman Damansara, Plaza Damansara, Masjid Syaidina Omar, Jalan Duta and Sapura Tower, Azilah was found to be at Bukit Aman at 8:36pm that day.

Azilah then was traced to be at the Jalan Duta toll plaza area before moving towards Sri Damansara. He then moved along the New Klang Valley Expressway, Section 4 Kota Damansara, Pekan Subang and Kampung Melayu Subang. At Kampung Melayu Subang, Azilah made several calls until he reached Puncak Alam, where Altantuya was murdered.

Hambali also said that Azilah had called Razak and Sirul when he was near Razak’s house in Bukit Damansara.

The hearing continues today.
