Motorcyclist Lost Hand and Cash to Robbers

A. Muniandy, aged 42, was robbed by two men while riding his motorcycle along Jalan Gambang yesterday morning. The men had stopped him and started attacking Muniandy with a parang.

The robbers took his bag which contained RM2,300 and left in their motorcycle. Muniandy was later found by another motorcyclist, who took him and his severed right hand to the Tengku Ampuan Afzan Hospital. Doctors attempted to re-attach the hand after a four-hour surgery but it is unknown it can be used again.
