Woman Stabbed and Slashed 16 Times to Death

P. Rina, a 22-year-old unemployed woman was with her 19-year-old sister Sugunah in her Desa Mentari flat when she was stabbed and slashed at least 16 times by an unknown assailant yesterday.

The sisters were sleeping when the victim woke up at noon and went into the hall of the flat. She suddenly returned to the room and woke her sister up. The sister was shocked when she saw the victim was bleeding profusely and sent her to the Subang Jaya Medical Centre with the help of neighbours.

She was pronounced dead upon arrival.

Police said that the victim’s body was sent to the University Malaya Medical Centre for a post-mortem. There was no indication of force entry into the flat and none of the belongings were missing. No weapons were found in the premises either.
