Nine Men Arrested for Illegal Online Gambling Operations

Police has arrested two Singaporeans and seven local men, aged between 29 and 51, during a raid on a house in Taman Perling on Sunday. They were found to be operating an illegal horse race gambling syndicate. Betting slips, 8 laptops and 22 mobiles phones were seized.

Initial police investigations show that the group processed bets 3 times a week, each time netting RM200,000.

   I believe there is no law or protection against online gambling if you are residing in Malaysia. Do take note that you may be subject to entertainment or profit tax at the site’s registered country or Malaysia. Check with the gambling site to be sure.
