A couple had bought a two-storey terrace house in Subang Jaya from the 33-year-old woman who is remanded by police for the murder of Singaporean Goh Yoke Seng, aged 39. Goh was cut into 11 pieces and stuffed into a refrigerator of a Mont Kiara condominium apartment. His body was found last Sunday by a new owner of the apartment who bought it from a bank auction.
The couple had been renting the house since 2005 but decided to buy it. The wife describe the suspect as gentle and soft-spoken, and was not aware that she was married. She had spoken to the suspect several times over the phone and had met her once when they bought the house. She was also acquainted with the suspect’s mother, known as “Madam Cheah”, who was a divorcee.
A neighbour of Cheah in Subang Jaya said that the suspect visited her mother on occasion. He said that Cheah worked for an airline company. It is believed that the suspect was an air stewardess.
Goh’s ashes, which was at the Cheras crematorium, had been handed over to a relative yesterday at 8:30am. Goh’s mother and brother, who claimed the body on Saturday, had flown back to Singapore yesterday morning.
