Police have arrested an Indonesian couple who have been selling fake MyKads (national identity cards) to illegal immigrants for RM500 each. 28 fake MyKads, 21 unprocessed ones, 18 multiple entry visas, pieces of pages from Malaysian passports, 12 driving licences and processing equipment were seized from an apartment in Bayu Puteri 2 in Permas Jaya last Thursday.

The MyKads turned out to be very good forgeries and even had the embedded chips. It is believed that the couple had been selling up to ten of them daily.
