Fake Liquor Seized, Man Arrested for Illegal Brewing

Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Ministry enforcement personnel raided a house in Taman Prima Impian, Segambut believed to be the production site of adulterated liquor. 1000 such bottles, which carried famous brands such as Chivas and Hennessy, have been seized. The bottles carry an estimated price of RM50,000.

A 25-year-old man, believed to be responsible for the illegal brewing, was arrested. Some brewing equipment have also been taken.

The ministry suspect that the liquor was being supplied to entertainment outlets throughout Klang Valley at low prices.
