A man in his 50s was caught for the second time for operating an illegal gaming and horse betting centre at his two-and-a-half storey house in Taman Tasik Indah, Jinjang.

Police with officers from the anti-vice, gaming and secret society division raided the man’s house at 6pm yesterday. They seized six laptops, four fax machines and a paper shredder. Post-dated cheques amounting to RM17,000 were also seized.

Four men and a woman, aged between 20 and 50 years, have been detained. Closed-circuit television cameras raised the alert and gave the suspects time to destroy betting slips.

It is learnt that the house was raided six months ago for the same illegal operations.
