The Kuala Lumpur Bar Criminal Practice Committee chairman N. Sivananthan said that it is dissatisfied with the reason given by the Attorney-General Tan Sri Abdul Gani Patail for changing the prosecution team for the Altantuya murder trial. He said the fact that the deputy public prosecutor Salehuddin Saidin and the trial judge Mohd Zaki Md Yasin regularly play badminton together was nothing secret and that they played as part of a group.

Newspapers had reported that while the two were at the club in January this year, a member of their group, judge Datuk Abdul Wahab Said Ahmad had collapsed after a game and died later. Sivananthan said Abdul Gani would have know about the two being together then.

The trial was postponed earlier this Monday as the replacement lawyer, Tun Majid Tun Hamzah, needed time to catch up on the case information.
