Police have arrested two men who have been posing as police officers or repairmen and robbing over 150 college students in Sentul for the past two years. The suspects were nabbed last Saturday in Wangsa Maju after they had robbed six Tunku Abdul Rahman students in a rented house in Setapak.

The victims had described the men and the registration number of their motorcycle. The first suspect, a 21-year-old man, was nabbed in front of a motorcycle shop in Section 1, Wangsa Maju. Police found 99 Eramin 5 pills, 6 sachets of ganja and two stolen mobile phones on him.

The second suspect, a 24-year-old, was picked up in his house and his Honda EX5 motorcycle seized.

Police believe that the duo are responsible for more than 100 robberies in the areas of Setapak, Wangsa Maju, Kepong and Jinjang.

With the information provided by the suspects, police then raided two mobile phone shops in the Kotaraya and Plaza Warisan shopping centres and seized 90 stolen mobile phones.
