Mother of Dead Twins Out on Police Bail

The 19-year-old mother of the dead newborn twins is out on bail after being discharged from the Tuanku Jaafar Hospital on Monday. The bodies of the babies were found in a toilet of a college in Mantin last Saturday.
The mother is with her family at a Felda settlement here. It is believed that she got pregnant with a factory worker, who later moved to Johor while the mother enrolled for a course in the college. He was planning to marry her after he found out that she was pregnant, but she was afraid and confused.
Police are investigating the case under Section 309A of the Penal Code for infanticide.
