Robbery of Two Men on Bus Unnoticed

25 February 2007
Kota Baru

A shop assistant and his friend were on board a bus heading towards Machang from Pasir Puteh at 3:30pm on Thursday. Three men boarded the bus later and sat next to the duo. The men then took out knives and demanded money from the victims, aged 18 and 21. As they did not have any money, they gave the three robbers their mobile phones.

Apparently the other passengers and the bus driver chose not to or did not notice the robbery.

The robbers calmly alighted at Kampung Sering.

Three youths aged between 17 and 20 years have been detained by the police after the victims lodged reports the next day.
