Three robbers entered a house in Parit Babok yesterday at 1am via a hole in the ceiling, armed with a knife, a parang and a fake pistol. 50-year-old Buserin Harun and his six family members were sleeping at that time.

After tieing up the residents, the trio ransacked the house but could not find any valuables. Frustrated, one of the robbers cut off Buserin’s left earlobe and slapped him. Buserin then asked the robbers to take him to the bank where he could withdraw money for them. When the robbers started taking off the clothes of their 15-year-old daughter, Buserin’s 45-year-old wife, Jamaah Sermidi, asked them to take their family car.

The men took off in the car with three mobile phones, jewellery and RM300. The car was later found abandoned three kilometres away. Buserin went to the Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital for treatment.

Police have detained two men and a woman in connection to the robbery.
