Village Mall Jewellery Shop Robbed RM60,000

Four robbers armed with two pistols took three minutes to rob a jewellery shop inside Village Mall on Friday at 9:20pm and got away with RM60,000 worth of jewellery.
One of the robbers guarded the entrance to the shop while the other three confronted six salesgirls inside. The robbers were wearing helmets and long-sleeved jackets. The robbers smashed the showcases with hammers, scooped jewellery into their bags and escaped on two motorcycles parked outside of the mall.
A mall security rushed to the scene but retreated when he saw one of the robbers armed with a pistol while he was unarmed.
Police are investigating this case together with another jewellery shop robbery at a hypermarket in the same area on 11 January 2008. Both shops are owned by the same person.
