Lorry Attendant Charged with Murder of 18-Month-Old Toddler

The lorry attendant whose wife was the former babysitter of 18-month-old K. Haresvarra has been charged in court on Monday for the murder of the toddler on 3 March 2010 between 9:40pm and 10:10pm. 33-year-old M. Rajamorgan was alleged to have murdered the boy at a playground along Jalan Kenanga in Kampung Sungai Kayu Ara, Damansara.
Magistrate Ho Kwong Chin set 19 March 2010 for mention and to apply for transfer of the case to the High Court as requested by the prosecution counsel, Amer Hamzah.
Amer also informed the court that his client was beaten by the police and other detainees while he was at the Petaling Jaya police post. He also asked the court to order district police chief Assistant Commissioner Arjunaidi Mohamed not to make further press statements that were prejudicial to his client.
