Shearwey’s Mother Out on Bail

Jess Teh Hooi Wen has been posted bail by her mother Ong Sea Huah, aged 51, and younger brother Teh Lien Wei, aged 27, amounting to RM9,000 in court yesterday. Teh has been charged with lodging a false missing person report on her 3-year-old daughter, Shearwey Ooi Ying Ying, who was found to be brutally murdered later.
Teh has also been charged with consuming methamphetamine at the Bayan Lepas police station 9 July 2007 and possessing 1.5g of cannabis at Solok Angsana, Farlim, on 17 July 2007.
Her boyfriend Ong Chee Leong, aged 29, is charged with murder of Shearwey at Block 11-03-3A Seri Impian, Lengkok Angsana, Bandar Baru Air Itam, on 5 July 2007 but was not allowed bail. If found guilty, Ong faces the death sentence under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
