Federal CID police have released the photofits of a man and a woman believed to be involved in the kidnap and murder of 8-year-old Nurin Jazlin Jaziman.

The man is described to have fair complexion, 168cm tall, and aged between 35 and 40 years. He is believed to have looked for a room to rent in the Bangsar area for himself and his daughter.

The woman is in her 20s, 153cm tall, with shoulder-length hair and had worn a red dress when she was seen near a dark-blue Diadora sports bag near a staircase in a shoplot in Petaling Utama on 17 September 2007. She was seen at the crime scene a day before Nurin’s naked body was discovered in the bag.

Both are said to be locals.

Police are asking the public to come forward if they recognize the photofits and have information that can lead to them.

Although the remand order on the four men detained in Shah Alam was ending on 4 October, they were released on Monday at 4pm based on other evidence, police have said.

The 23-year-old Indonesian woman arrested on Saturday in Nilai is still being held at the University Malaya Medical Centre. Doctors are attempting to retrieve the SIM card that she had swallowed.

Three of the four snatch thieves arrested on Sunday for the robbery and death of retired teacher Elizabeth Chew Gaik Lim in Taman Century have been tested positive for syabu. The men, aged between 21 and 24 years old, have had previous records of snatch thefts and break-ins.

Motorcycles seized from them were reported stolen.

They will be remanded until Thursday. The fourth suspect escaped on foot but police have identified him.

Police have classified the case as murder.

A Form Two student from SM Taman Bukit Indah was abducted, stripped naked and had his nude photos taken by a gang of teenagers on Sunday at 4:30pm.

The 14-year-old boy and his 12-year-old brother were in front of a cyber cafe in Bukit Indah when three schoolmates and an ex-student approached them in a Proton Wira vehicle. The 14-year-old was abducted into the car and driven to a construction site in Lima Kedai, Gelang Patah.

When he refused to join their gang, they stripped and photographed him naked using their mobile phones. They threatened to distribute the pictures if he did not comply.

The group then left the victim at a nearby temple after hitting him with a piece of wood. They took his mobile phone, photocopied MyKad and RM20 before leaving.

The younger brother alerted their parents, who later lodged a police report. Police have detained a 14-year-old suspect and identified two others, aged 13 and 16.
