An elderly woman, aged 75, was found dead yesterday in Kampung Perangkap. Kalsom Awang was discovered with stab wounds by her husband at their home in the afternoon.

Police has arrested a 31-year-old man whose bloodied t-shirt was found by the dog unit not far from the victim’s house. They are determining if the victim was involved in a robbery.

Kuala Lumpur

In a routine check yesterday morning by police, a grenade, pistol with bullet and two men on drugs were arrested. One of them is formerly from the police force in Bukit Aman. The black Mitsubishi car was parked around a petrol station along Jalan Bukit Bintang in the wee hours of the morning.

The men are from Kuantan. The other man was convicted previously for robbery and drugs. They are being kept in custody for 8 days to aid in investigations.
