Zaimy Ahmad, aged 40, an ex Royal Malaysian Air Force staff was sentenced yesterday to 12 years’ jail and six strokes of the cane. He was found guilty of sodomising a 10-year-old boy in his room at Block Merlin A, Subang TUDM bachelors’ barracks on 28 and 30 October 1999.

The boy used to watch television and play table tennis in Zaimy’s room. The court heard the victim’s medical report of a tear in the boy’s anus.

The jail sentences are to run concurrently starting from yesterday.

Kuala Terengganu

Ustaz Zul, aged 50, has been arrested yesterday morning on charges of rape and molest committed over the past three years. Police found him with 21 followers in a house in Batu Buruk.

The suspect is wanted for cases involved in Kuala Lumpur, Pahang, Selangor and Terengganu. The cases include raping of four girls, aged between 14 and 24. He will be remanded until Monday.

Kuching

A group of 11 people known as the Hup Kee gang from Sibu have been arrested on Tuesday morning. Police conducted a raid on the gang leader’s house and arrested him together with ten more.

At the house, police found a mortar bomb and firecrackers. The group is allegedly involved in a kidnapping case and various other crimes.
