Johor Baru
A couple from Pontian were driving in their Proton Iswara along a road in Gelang Patah towards Johor Baru when four men in a Toyota Altis rammed their car from behind. The incident occurred on Monday at 10:30pm.
The 22-year-old man continued to drive on as they were afraid of stopping, while the 19-year-old woman tried to call her brother using her mobile phone. However, their vehicle stopped moving near Nusajaya.
The men approached the couple and one of them slashed the man on his right leg with a parang. He was also punched and kicked for trying to escape. They then robbed the two of their wallets, mobile phones and some jewellery.
The couple were then taken to a hut in Taman Tampoi Indah where the three of the robbers took turns to rape the woman. The man was forced to watch the act. They were released at 1:30am and were able to go to Sultanah Aminah Hospital with the help of some passers-by.
A police report was lodged at the Tampoi police station.
