Chuang Chew Poh, aged 58, was found dead at his photo shop in Pasir Gudang. His wife found his body with slash wounds on the head and neck when he did not answer her phone calls. There was indication that the shop was also burgled.
The cash register’s money, Chuang’s car keys and shop keys were missing.

Ipoh
Laskar Kelas II Gerald Wilrerd Mejoh has been acquitted and discharged of raping a 19-year-old girl. Gerald, aged 24, was charged with raping the girl in Rumah Tumpangan Phin Lum Hooi at Jalan Titi Panjang in Lumut on 5 March 2006.
Gerald had went out with the girl three times in two weeks. The Royal Malaysian Navy is keeping close observation on him after he is out on bail.

Muar
Police have arrested an orang asli man from Gambang, Pahang, who had stolen 60 metres of telephone cables near Bukit Pasir. Police arrested him on Monday night when he was riding his motorcycle with his wife and two children. The cables were estimated to be worth RM1,800.
A knife and parang were found on the 33-year-old man’s motorcycle.
