Four policemen were in their car on the way home after duty when their car collided head-on with a robber’s car along the New Pantai Expressway. All four sustained injuries and the suspect suffered injuries to his groin and is warded at UMMC.
The suspect’s car was flagged down by a patrol car along Jalan Ara, Bangsar, at around 2:30am. Initially the car slowed down but suddenly sped off, so the police gave chase. The chase went through Bangsar, Kampung Kerinchi, and then the suspect went to the opposite lane along the Expressway. Five patrol cars were in the high-speed chase.
The suspect is wanted for a few robberies and break-ins in the Dang Wangi area. Police found an axe, a bottle of cough syrup and drug accessories used to smoke syabu.

15 people in Puchong have been arrested in relation to an illegimate scratch and win competition syndicate which used an electrical appliances store as a cover. The 9 women and 6 men were caught by the federal commercial crime department yesterday morning.

Parti Keadilan Rakyat vice-president Azmin Ali was robbed in his home at Ampang in the afternoon by two men armed with a parang and iron rod.
He was parking his car when the men approached his car and smashed a car window with the parang. Two other men waited in a car outside while the first two took Azmin’s mobile phone and RM2,000 cash. He was threatened with the parang against his abdomen.
Ampang Jaya police found the getaway car near the Ampang Point shopping centre. A 24-year-old man in the car was detained, and another 27-year-old was caught at a construction site nearby.
