Tan Sook Mun, aged 21, and Tan Sok Yin, aged 17, were found hanged in their home in Taman Klebang Jaya yesterday evening.

The dead sisters are among the second and fourth of four siblings. Sook Mun left behind a one-year-old daugther, now in her mother’s care. Sok Yin was previously working in Singapore.

Police do not suspect foul play and are investigating the matter.

Three men took five minutes, parangs and a gun to rob a Sen Heng electrical appliance store along Jalan Dagang at around 8:30pm yesterday.

They wore ski masks, a full face helmet, and cellophane tape on their fingers as they robbed cameras, mobile phones and DVD players. RM11,000 of cash was also taken.

They escaped in a silver Perodua Kancil with a false registration plate.

A pair of siblings were in a Selayang court and charged with the murder of a labourer V. Baskaran at Lot 16 hardware store in Selayang Baru, Batu Caves, on November 26 2006.

Lorry driver B. Kaliyapan, aged 29, and his sister B. Kaliamah, aged 31, were believed to have thrown a flower pot at the victim’s head, killing him.

Their case will be mentioned together with an earlier case in which two others were charged with the same crime. They have not been granted bail. The hearing is set on January 19 2007.
