A 50-year-old bomoh is believed to have been molesting women with the help of his 43-year-old wife.

The bomoh’s deeds came to light after a 19-year-old victim lodged a police report. The victim went to the bomoh’s house in Bandar Tenggara on Tuesday at 8pm as she sought for medication for muscle aches.

The bomoh started reading her palm then his wife held the victim tightly to the ground and covered her mouth. The bomoh then removed the victim’s clothes and molested her.

The victim managed to wrestle herself free and escaped.

Police have detained the bomoh and his wife for further investigations.

Gombak

An African national allegedly kept a 34-year-old orphan in an apartment for a week where the woman was forced to perform sexual acts with him. On 7 December 2008, the suspect persuaded the orphan to leave her welfare home in Gombak with the promise of a better life.

The victim was brought to the Aman Puri Apartments in Kepong where she stayed without any problems for the first week. During the second week, the suspect allegedly started raping the victim beginning from 14 December 2008 and locked her in a room there.

On Saturday when she was raped, she fought with the African and managed to flee to the kitchen where she got hold of a knife. While she was wielding the knife, she managed to call the police with a mobile phone.

When the police reached the apartment, the suspect tried to escape and it took four officers to subdue him.

Butterworth

Two neighbours, aged 16 and 30 years, have been arrested on Saturday night for raping a one-year-old child.

The victim’s 32-year-old mother, a sales promoter, claimed that her daughter was raped when she brought her to the Seberang Jaya Hospital on Friday at 11pm. The girl had complained of bleeding from her private parts after she was picked up from a babysitter’s house at 6pm.

The doctors at the hospital allegedly reported that there was a deep wound which required stitching and diagnosed her as being raped.
