20-year-old Gang Raped by Four

A 20-year-old graphic designer with a local Chinese newspaper was kidnapped and gang-raped near her USJ6 home on Sunday.

After the victim and her younger sister had spent a day at Genting Highlands, four men had been trailing her to her house. When she had parked her car outside of the house, the suspects grabbed her into their car, leaving the younger sister behind.

The victim offered to give the men RM1,000 but they did not accept. Instead, they called the victim’s mother and demanded for another RM4,000. She only deposited RM2,000 into the victim’s bank account.

The victim was released around noon after the suspects had taken turns to rape her.

Fish Breeder Found Dead with Throat Slit

A 59-year-old fish breeder in Kampung Beris, Marang was found in his home with his throat slit and bruises on his face and head. Murder victim Tan Hai Peng was home alone while his wife Lau Choy Yuet was on vacation.

Some knives and a bloodstained forked spear were found by the police.

Tan’s 33-year-old son Tan Aik Lay said the murder was likely caused by revenge because Tan was threatened by some villagers when he said would lodge a police report against them for stealing some mobile phones. He had lodged three reports on assault and theft in August.

Police have arrested a 30-year-old woodcutter from Kampung Kubur Pengkalan Berangan are looking for a second suspect.

62-year-old Strangled and Beaten to Death by Robbers

62-year-old Tan Poh Choo was strangled and beaten to death during a robbery while she was at home at Kampung Tengah, Teluk Kerang, on Thursday night. Her body was discovered by her niece’s boyfriend at 9pm when he visited her.

Tan’s niece was staying in Singapore at that time and had tried to call her a few times that night but there was no answer.

Police investigations indicate that Tan was strangled with a piece of nylon string and hit on the head with a blunt object. Her hands and feet were tied and the niece’s red Perodua Kancil was missing at the house.
