A couple who were married for three months were at a budget hotel when the 41-year-old husband stabbed his 46-year-old wife to death for allegedly using black magic on him.
On Thursday at 3:30pm, the furniture shop worker had went to the hotel along Jalan Datuk Keramat to confront his wife, Wong Nyik Yon, accusing her of making him unable to forget her by using black magic. Wong had been working in the hotel for two years.
After the husband had used a knife to stab her, he did not resist when hotel staff apprehended him.
Wong died from multiple stab wounds on her chest and waist. A post mortem will be conducted at the Penang Hospital on Friday while the husband has been placed in police custody.

About RM6 million worth of contraband cigarettes and beer were seized in several raids at the North Port, Port Klang, the officers from the Customs Department.
On Wednesday, the officers seized a container with 11 million cigarettes smuggled from Cambodia. Investigations revealed that the cigarettes were imported by a company in Kuantan. The seizure is believed to be worth RM4.8 million.
A shipping agent has been detained aid investigations.

Klang
A 53-year-old man’s body was found at the KM2.7 mark of the Shahpadu Highway on Thursday morning.
Police was alerted by passers-by and have identified the body as belonging to Mohd Yusof Ahmad Sapian from Jalan Tangki, Port Klang.
According to drag marks in the area, police believe that the victim was murdered using a sharp object elsewhere and the body brought to the highway in a vehicle. Four slash wounds were found on his head.
Investigations are ongoing to determine the motive of the murder.
