Man Murdered Own Children Before Committing Suicide

An accountant who worked at a unit trust company, has allegedly strangled his two children to death and committed suicide by drinking a mixture of bleach and floor cleaner. Lee Tiang Siang, aged 39, had locked himself and his children, Lee Mei Shen, aged 9, and Lee Wei Shen, aged 7, in their Villa Angsana condominium off Jalan Ipoh.

Lee’s wife, an insurance agent, had found their bodies at about 7:30pm after she had returned from their neightbour’s residence after a quarrel with Lee. As the front door was locked, she got the help of security guards and firemen from the Fire and Rescue Department to break it down. She found the children’s bodies in the master bedroom, believed to have been strangled to death with plastic bags. Lee was found in the bathroom with a handwritten note and bottles of bleach and floor cleaner solution.

Neighbours who were interviewed said that they saw loan sharks visiting Lee’s condo unit at 5:30pm but were not allowed in. An argument between the couple followed after Lee’s wife came home and found scratch marks on their car.

Police said that there were no visible marks on the bodies and the case had been classified as sudden death until they receive results of the post-mortems from the Kuala Lumpur Hospital.

Man Found Hanged in Woods

A neighbour found the body of Chua Hwee Heng, aged 32, from Jalan Batang Paip in Bukit Treh, hanged in a wooded area Taman Desa Tiga. Chua had been missing for several days and his body was decomposing where it was found at 10am Wednesday.

Chua had looked for his uncle in the estate and told his father that gangsters were after him.

The body has been sent to Sultanah Fatimah Specialist Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem.

Man Stabs Grandmother for Gold Chain

A 25-year-old Hafandy Hamid had asked from his 66-year-old grandmother for a RM2,000 gold chain and when she refused to give him, he allegedly stabbed her in the back with a knife. He ran away with the gold chain The incident occurred at the woman’s house at 2pm Monday at Bukit Payong.

A neightbour had sent the woman to the Sultanah Nur Zahirah Hospital and is said to be in a stable condition.

Police has classified the case as causing hurt during a robbery.
