Bukit Mertajam
An 18-year-old woman and her fiance were riding on their motorcycle along Jalan Ara Kuda, Kubang Semang towards Kulim on Wednesday at 3:40am when five men robbed the two of their cash and valuables before taking turns to rape her.
The men forced the couple to undress and beat up the woman’s fiance. The woman had her nude body photographed on the suspects’ mobile phones before she was taken on a terror ride in a Mitsubishi Storm vehicle. She was raped at two places before she was dumped on the roadside.
Two hours later, police have arrested 10 men, including the five who allegedly raped the woman. The men, who worked as lorry drivers and contract workers, have been remanded until Tuesday to aid police investigations.
Two more men are wanted to assist in police investigations. They are 23-year-old Loo Ming Jong and 38-year-old K. Ramachandran.

30-year-old Vasasu Subramaniam a/l Paramasivam was slashed and beaten to death by four armed men outside a restaurant along Jalan Raja Laut on Friday at 2:30am.
The victim, who works as a parking attendant, was having supper with his three friends at the restaurant when four men arrived in a Proton Wira. They ambushed Vasasu outside the restaurant and attacked him with parangs.
Vasasu was sent to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital where he died a few hours later.
Police are looking for the four suspects, aged between 20 and 30 years old.

Malacca
Three robbers broke into the house of a 48-year-old businessman in Taman Pertam Jaya, Semabok, and took RM1.5 million of cash and valuables yesterday. The items stolen include RM50,000 of jewellery, RM165,000 cash, 5 antique statues worth RM1 million, a few mobile phones worth RM9,000, a 42-inch plasma TV, and 11 bottles of liquor.
Businessman Tony Yau returned home after sending his family to a restaurant, only to find the padlock on his front grille missing. He then saw two men wearing baseball caps and surgical masks, and armed with parangs, approaching him. They warned him that they did not want to hurt anyone but to take his belongings.
Yau was also forced to hand over his Rolex watch, mobile phone and jewellery, worth a total of RM30,000.
