Kota Baru
An elderly man in his 70s has been found dead along a street near Wisma Hainan on Tuesday 7am. Only known as Bok Yong, the man had no immediate family members and had stopped working at a Chinese coffeeshop after some health problems.
He was given free accommodation by the Kelantan Chinese Restaurants Association.
Police are waiting for the post-mortem result from the Raja Perempuan Zainab II Hospital and suspects suicide.

Klang
An elderly couple had travelled from Rasah, Seremban, on Sunday to Taman Telok Pulai on Sunday to celebrate Chinese New Year with relatives. Gan Say Hoe, aged 75, had dropped his wife, Sim Ah Guat, aged 71, near their relative’s house before driving off to the car park.
A snatch thief had attacked Sim and escaped with her handbag. When Gan returned a few minutes later, he found Sim lying on the floor unconscious.
Sim was taken to the Tengku Ampuan Rahimah Hospital where she was pronounced dead. Her body has been moved to Rasah for her funeral.

5-year-old Muhammad Alis Haqumi Idris and 18-months-old Muhammad Alis Hazmi Idris were found dead lying in bed and with their tied hands at their flat in Taman Indah, Batu Maung yesterday morning by police.
Post-mortem results showed that the boys had been strangled. Some suspect they were strangled with the cord of an iron.
The incident happened after the parents had quarelled and police have remanded both of them.
On Sunday night, the 30-year-old wife had sent an SMS to the husband, a 28-year-old lorry driver, to ask him to return home. He reportedly had intentions of having a second wife. When the husband returned home at 11:40pm, he went to bed after seeing that the two boys were already laying in bed.
Police had to wake him up at 7am to find that the boys were already dead.
The police have classified the case under Section 302 of the Penal Code as murder and the couple will remain in police custody until 1 March 2007.
