Two burglars entered a double-storey terrace house via the kitchen window at around 5am yesterday. A father and 15-year-old daughter were awakened by sounds made by the burglars who were armed with a knife and kitchen chopper.
When the father came down to confront the men, they demanded cash from him. The father was tied up when he said he had none. The men went up and took his daughter downstairs where one of them allegedly molested and assaulted her. The burglars ran off with RM100 and a mobile phone.
The girl has been admitted to the Queen Elizabeth Hospital for serious trauma. A police report has been made.

Ipoh
A new student in a school in Gerik was allegedly beaten by three form five students for a missing set of room keys on Saturday morning. Mohamad Karim Ibrahim, aged 15, suffered bruises and scratches at the boarding school dormitory. He was found with the keys belonging to a 16-year-old senior there.
Police say that the three confronted Mohamad Karim in his room and kicked him while about 10 students watched on. A teacher came in later to break up the fight.
The case is being investigated under Section 323 of the Penal Code for causing hurt.

Three men in a Sentul store have been arrested with RM60,000 worth of contraband cigarettes, cigars and tobacco. Two of them were Myanmar nationals aged 24 and 36, while the other is a 64-year-old local.
One of them even tried to bribe Sentul OCPD Asst Comm K. Kumaran with RM4,900 during the raid yesterday afternoon.
The unpaid customs duty on the contraband is estimated to be about RM200,000.
