Narcotics police from Pasir Mas raided a house in Kampung Gual Sitok, Rantau Panjang, yesterday night and arrested 6 suspects and seized RM410,000 worth of drugs, making it the largest drug trafficking syndicate busted in the state.

The six suspects, aged between 15 and 63 years old, include four men and two women, one of whom is a Thai.

Police found 3,968 methamphetamine pills worth RM87,296, 30 plastic bottles of heroin worth RM19,500 and 203 Eramine pills worth RM3,015. Three plastic packages are believed to contain Heroin Base 4 which is rare, unprocessed and expensive. A Mitsubishi Storm vehicle, three Honda motorcycles, four ATM cards, 10 bank account books, RM57,105 cash and 12,210 baht (RM1,240) cash were also seized.

A tuition teacher was held on Tuesday after the 32-year-old mother of a Year Three student lodged a police report on Sunday against him for allegedly molesting and performing oral sex on the boy. It is believed that the teacher had been sexually abusing the 9-year-old boy in Taman Melodies for almost a year.

The victim had only recently revealed to his classmates at the tuition centre of the teacher’s actions. One of the classmates then contacted his parents about the matter. The victim told his parents that the teacher had often forced him to strip and lie on a table with his eyes closed while he was molested.

The teacher had allegedly threatened the boy against telling anyone about the incidents.

Police said the teacher has been remanded for 5 days to aid investigations.

Four suspects were arrested by the police while six others are still at large after a 15-year-old student reported that she was gang-raped by 10 youths.

The girl had befriended a 17-year-old boy at a shopping complex on Sunday who introduced her to 9 of his friends. At around 10pm, the boyfriend had brought her back to his rented room in Kampung Aston where he raped her. The 9 friends, aged between 16 and 20 years, then took turns to rape her.

The victim was kept in that room until Wednesday when she was sent home to Permatang Pauh by the boyfriend.

The victim’s family brought her to a police station to lodge a report and she was later sent to the Seberang Jaya Hospital for a medical examination.

The youths who were arrested on Thursday in Kubang Semang are aged between 16 and 17 years old, one of whom is victim’s boyfriend.
