Four armed robbers entered the Hock Heng Goldsmith jewellery store along Jalan Jabber in Parit Jawa yesterday, and took RM1 million worth of jewellery. The men wore ski masks and carried revolvers and an axe.

The operation occurred around 2pm, and took about four minutes. The robbers escaped in a Proton Wira parked about 100 metres away. Witnesses say that the driver was a woman.

A workshop manager helped to nab two men, believed to be Indonesians, who were robbing a woman of her handbang at Puchong Jaya around 9:15am on Thursday.

This 40-year-old man was driving in his Proton Saga when he saw the incident. When he chased the men who were escaping on a motorcycle, they threw stones at his car. He rammed his car into their motorcycle and the men fell.

One of the men, aged 20 years, was caught and handed over to police. The other escaped and the handbag was found later.

16 men were robbing from a heavy machinery second-hand spare parts warehouse at Taman City along Jalan Kuching using three lorries, three cars, one trailer, one tow truck and a four-wheel drive car.

Nearby workers saw the men at around 8pm and called the police. Police from Sentul arrived and arrested the robbers.
