Form Four Girl Raped by Eight

A 16-year-old Form Four girl lodged a police report claiming that she was gang-raped by eight men while the entire act was recorded on a mobile phone.

The girl’s former boyfriend had invited her to go to the Ulu Legong hot spring with three others, including a woman. When they were there, one of the men had sprayed a substance on her face which cause her to become dizzy.

While the girl was semi-conscious, she was taken to a car wash garage in Kuala Pegang where eight men, including her former boyfriend, took turns to rape her.

Her former boyfriend later sent her home.

Altantuya Murder Trial: Lunggan Confirms Items Received

29-year-old investigating officer ASP Tonny Lunggan said yesterday at the murder trial of Mongolian Altantuya Shaariibuu that he received two mobile phones and two laptops belonging to co-accused Abdul Razak Abdullah Baginda from DSP Lim Meng Seah on 11 November 2006.

Several papers, found at the office of accused Chief Inspector Azilah Hadri, were also received by Lunggan and had Razak’s handwriting. ASP Zulkarnain Samsudin, who gave the papers to Lunggan, had told the court in previous proceedings that the papers contained the name of Razak’s father, his house address and Altantuya’s mobile phone numbers. The papers were seized on 12 November 2006.

Lunggan also confirmed receipt of four Hotel Malaya memo notes and an envelope, which were all found by police in Razak’s office at Level 10, Bangunan Getah Asli Malaysia, Jalan Ampang, on 9 November 2006. Altantuya and her two cousins had stayed at Hotel Malaya prior to her death.

Sergeant Amran Abdul Aziz had sent a Hotel Malaya bill and a video tape to Lunggan on 11 November 2006. The video tape showed footage of accused officers Azilah and Sirul at the hotel.

The trial continues on 21 April 2008.

Reserve Policeman Slashed to Death

A 45-year-old Police Volunteer Reserve constable was slashed to death by three men armed with parangs in Taman Masnah, Batu 3 1/2 Kampung Jaya, yesterday night.

M. Sandrakumar, from Kampung Jaya, had dropped his daughter off at his house at 8:30pm and rode off on his motorcycle when he noticed a silver Proton Waja following him. He tried to speed off but was unable to escape as three suspects gave chase on foot.

The suspects, who were wearing masks, caught up with him and starting attacking him with parangs. The victim suffered five deep slash wounds and had his arms and left leg severed. He died on the spot.

Police suspect the motive of the attack was revenge and have launch a manhunt for the suspects.
